Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting.
- Assist licensed nurses and medical staff with various health-related duties and responsibilities.
- Perform clerical duties involving direct relationships with patients, including greeting, escorting, and preparing patients for visits.
- Conduct vital signs, interviews, and provide information on healthcare services as required.
- Assist with laboratory and other tests, procedures, and medical visits.
- Offer HIV testing and provide education on health-related topics.
- Perform venipuncture, label specimens, and verify collection with requisitions.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and performance improvement projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a NYS Department of Health prescribed training program for Phlebotomy.
- Completion of a healthcare setting-based training program in basic clinical techniques and electrocardiograph.
- Current BCLS Certification and EKG and Phlebotomy Certification.
- Ability to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment and maintain confidentiality.
- 1 year of ambulatory care working experience.
- Proficiency in English and a second language.
- Effective interpersonal skills and excellent customer service behavior.
