Senior Research Scientist - Epidemiology Division

The George Washington University is in search of a Senior Research Scientist to become part of the Epidemiology Division. This role entails managing the daily functions of a significant NIH-funded HIV research initiative, which represents one of the most extensive urban HIV cohort studies in the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee study personnel and operational activities
  • Engage with research collaborators and key stakeholders
  • Direct the formulation and evaluation of research publications
  • Enhance patient care through research contributions
  • Develop grant proposals leveraging existing research frameworks

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in research and/or educational settings
  • Strong command of both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD) or Master’s in Public Health is preferred
  • Specialization in HIV/AIDS and epidemiological studies
  • Previous involvement in large-scale cohort research
  • Excellent communication abilities and a strong publication history

Compensation Range: $97,000 - $144,001.59
