Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct highly specialized research under the guidance of senior researchers.
  • Perform experimental designs and routine observations for sponsored research projects.
  • Assist on balloon activities for the GRUAN and MDE projects at Howard University's Beltsville Campus.
  • Prepare ozonesonde and cryogenic frost-point hygrometer probes.
  • Collaborate with faculty and researchers on academic research projects.
  • Evaluate and interpret experimental data and quality control observational measurements.
  • Conduct workshops and make conference presentations regarding research projects.
  • Diagnose and repair research equipment as needed.
  • Assist in data analysis, including statistical analyses for advanced research projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Sciences or a related field.
  • Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets, word processors, and scientific programming.
  • Ability to develop and write manuscripts and make presentations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relations with faculty, staff, students, and the general public.

Salary: $23.08 per hour.
