Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant II to provide administrative support to the Circuit Court Clerk's Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing coverage to the front desk area, performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, and serving as a primary contact for proxy card issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coverage to the Circuit Court Clerk's Office front desk area
  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and scanning documents
  • Serve as a primary contact for proxy card issues and report malfunctions to the Office of Sheriff
  • Plan and coordinate special events and office functions
  • Assist with the filing and scanning of documents, and data entry as directed
  • Perform related duties as required
Requirements
  • High school graduation and one year of experience providing administrative support in the assigned functional area(s)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and input, access, and retrieve information from a computer
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a team environment and ability to exercise tact, discretion, initiative, creativity, and independent judgment
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office computer software, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some experience working in a Court and/or legal environment
  • One or more years of experience in providing front-line customer service
  • Knowledge of the Code of Virginia and regulations in relevant areas
