Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deli/Bakery Department Manager to join our team at KJ's Market. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our deli and bakery departments, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Ensure that our customers receive polite, friendly service from our deli/bakery department hosts.
  • Sales and Profitability: Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the deli/bakery department.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain the desired level of inventory and supplies.
  • Department Operations: Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
  • Team Management: Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to ensure deli/bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
  • Product Preparation: Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
  • Labor Management: Maintain the department's labor budget and scheduling standards.
  • Communication: Perform PA announcements and communicate effectively with the Store Manager and Merchandiser.
Requirements
  • Personality: Friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with others.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Communication: Ability to read and understand information and direction.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of deli operations.
  • Leadership: Ability to supervise hosts, including training and development.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Communication: Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to work well with computers.
