Job Description

As a Product Support Sales Representative at Modern Machinery, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth within a specific territory. This role requires a unique blend of sales, customer service, and technical skills to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers, understanding their needs and preferences to provide tailored solutions.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Identify new opportunities for aftermarket sales, sell service programs, and promote growth through effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Product Support: Provide customers with quotes related to product support, perform machine inspections and evaluations, and communicate repair progress to customers.
  • Dispute Resolution: Assist in negotiating and settling customer product support disputes in a fair and timely manner.
  • Goal Achievement: Execute on short and long-term goals through good management and planning, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Requirements:
  • Personality and Skills: Be a personable, highly motivated, and ethical problem solver who can adapt to various forces, including customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and coworkers.
  • Qualifications: High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 5+ years of industry experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Physical Demands: Requires prolonged sitting with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Must be able to travel on a regular basis, including overnight stays.
