Job Title: Hydraulics and Hydrology Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulics and Hydrology Project Engineer to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a key member of our Civil/Site team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in hydrology and hydraulics analysis and design.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, exhibits, and reports for civil infrastructure improvements.
  • Collect and analyze data, create computer models, and design complex detention/retention systems.
  • Evaluate and mitigate the impact of proposed designs on surrounding areas.
  • Prepare and process CLOMR/LOMR applications through local municipalities and FEMA.
  • Monitor project costs and changes against budget.
  • Review and analyze engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Lead and manage the work of subordinate employees.
Qualifications:
  • 3-7 years of civil engineering experience.
  • Understanding of private development processes and concepts.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS.
  • Experience with stormwater management software and ArcGIS.
  • Texas PE license required.
  • Texas Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred.
