We are seeking an Early-Career Environmental / Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world situations, while also learning the business skills needed for a successful consulting career.

In this role, you will work on complex projects involving innovative civil design, water management challenges, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, stormwater infrastructure and BMP design, flood inundation mitigation and risk reduction, environmental permitting and compliance, and environmental monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Civil/infrastructure design and site layout
  • Water resources engineering analyses such as hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) modeling and design
  • Fieldwork such as soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling; drilling, geotechnical investigation, site inspections, and heavy civil contractor oversight
  • Preparation of technical drawings, specifications, engineering documents, and analyses for: civil design, landfill and impoundment design and permitting, site development and grading, water resources engineering/stormwater management, and erosion and sediment controls
  • Performing engineering computations using computer-based technical tools and preparing related calculation packages
  • Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or other applicable discipline
  • Advanced degree in water resources, geotechnical, or environmental engineering
  • Current Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain within six months of employment
  • Prior internship or full-time experience in civil/environmental consulting or with a civil contractor
  • Experience performing civil design and site grading
  • Experience with relevant engineering software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, EPA SWMM, AutoCAD, ArcView, etc.
