Position Overview

The Assistant Manager of Community Services plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Manager in the daily operations of the community. This position is designed to enhance the management capabilities of the community, ensuring smooth and effective functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer service or management-related concerns within the Community Center.
  • Oversee the collection of overdue rents, recover damages from current residents, and manage daily financial transactions.
  • Supervise the everyday activities at the community center or office, providing guidance to Resident Service Coordinators and other personnel.
  • Ensure accuracy in data entry by the property management team within the community database.
  • Review and authorize all new resident documentation.
  • Uphold community standards and resident guidelines through regular inspections of shared areas.
  • Monitor and assist in the completion of resident engagement initiatives.
  • Guarantee the timely and precise completion of all necessary reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of all lease agreements and resident policy documents.
  • Actively contribute to the planning and execution of company-sponsored resident activities, including social gatherings, educational sessions, and community programs.
  • May be required to perform duties of a Resident Service Coordinator, such as managing move-ins and move-outs, conducting resident assessments, and evaluating damage charges.
  • In the absence of the Community Manager, assume the responsibilities of the acting Community Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required; an associate degree in business is preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in property management is essential.
  • Familiarity with YARDI or similar property management software is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.
  • Capable of collaborating within small teams.
  • Must deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing, adhering to the company's vehicular operation standards.
