Job Overview
A pediatric nurse specialist at Connecticut Children's plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients. As a medical professional, you will be responsible for planning and providing direct nursing care to children and families. With a strong focus on population-specific care, you will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.

About the Role
This is a full-time opportunity to join our pediatric team as a clinical nursing professional. You will provide safe and appropriate patient care to a defined patient population according to Connecticut Children's policies and standards. Your responsibilities will include fostering effective team dynamics, supporting patient and family safety, and participating in preceptor/mentor activities. Additionally, you will be expected to complete all required documentation in a timely manner and effectively communicate with the healthcare team.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess a degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program for registered nurses. A minimum of two years' clinical experience in pediatrics and/or behavioral health settings is preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification is required upon hire and maintained thereafter. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) is also required within 3 months of hire and maintained thereafter. You should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. The estimated salary for this position is $70,000-$100,000 per year, depending on experience.
