Pediatric Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist

As a Pediatric Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist, you will provide comprehensive nursing care, education, and support to patients and their loved ones. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to delivering high-quality, family-centered care that addresses the unique needs of each individual.
Responsibilities- Provide direct professional nursing care to patients presenting with behavioral health concerns, applying evidence-based therapeutic interventions and treatments.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective coping strategies, medication management, and other essential skills to promote healthy behaviors.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program for registered nurses, with a minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred).
- Current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience working in pediatric and/or behavioral health settings, preferably with a focus on crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 403(b) retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
