SUMMARY

The Senior Internal Auditor engages in advanced internal auditing activities, which encompass executing operational, financial, and compliance assessments while delivering advisory services to the organization's leadership and personnel under the guidance of an Internal Audit Manager or Senior Internal Auditor. This role operates under direct supervision and depends on established instructions and guidelines to fulfill job responsibilities. The Internal Auditor is expected to uphold all organizational and professional ethical standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in pinpointing and assessing the organization's risk factors and contributes to the formulation of the Annual Audit Plan.
  • Conducts audit activities, which include identifying and articulating issues, establishing criteria, reviewing and interpreting evidence, and documenting client workflows and procedures.
  • Facilitates interviews, examines documentation, designs and implements surveys, composes summary reports, and prepares working papers.
  • Identifies, formulates, and records audit findings and recommendations using independent judgment regarding the areas under review.
  • Communicates or aids in communicating the outcomes of audit and advisory projects through written reports and oral presentations to management and the Board of Directors.
  • Develops and sustains constructive client and staff relationships through individual interactions and group discussions.
  • Pursues opportunities for professional growth, including external and internal training and memberships in professional associations, and shares insights gained with colleagues.
  • Performs all other assigned duties.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. No supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, an individual must be capable of performing each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position:
  1. Bachelor's degree (4-year college) and 3+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS
  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

CRCM, CIA, CPA, CBA, or CAMS may substitute for one year of required experience.
