Supply Chain Planner Lead

Job Description:
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for developing and implementing long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, and other business needs. This role supports the execution of programs and coordination of new program/product launches, monitors key performance indicators, and analyzes performance data to increase the effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize supply chain management interfaces with manufacturing systems.
- Plan, prepare, issue, and control material requirements in conjunction with the production schedule.
- Support risk management activities impacting the value chain, working with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure shipments are accomplished to maintain contract/internal delivery commitments.
- Utilize system and process tools to achieve program/functional goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and 4-6 years of work experience or equivalent experience.
- Significant ERP System Experience (Oracle, SAP, Other), inclusive of shop floor control systems.
- Planning experience in a large multifaceted electronic manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations.
- Inventory/stockroom management.
- Ability to verbally and accurately report production status to program team or factory team.
Preferred Requirements:
- Higher level education completed or in process.
- 6 years related experience.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge with the ability to formally teach in two or more of the following: Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, and Rough Cut Capacity Planning or Production Planning, Production Scheduling.
- Experience working in a Depot environment.
