Patient Escort Service Aide Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Escort Service Aide to join our team at Penn State Health. As a Patient Escort Service Aide, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients and items to and from clinical units, diagnostic treatment, and testing areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients and items to and from clinical units, diagnostic treatment, and testing areas
  • Support nursing staff in delivering quality patient care
  • Maintain established HMC policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Six (6) months of direct patient care experience required
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • BLS-Heartsaver certification required or must obtain a hospital-approved CPR or BLS program within 3 weeks of date of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic computer skills preferred
