Patient Escort Service Aide Trainee Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a Patient Escort Service Aide Trainee to join our team. As a Patient Escort Service Aide Trainee, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient escort services to ensure safe and efficient movement of patients and items to and from clinical units and diagnostic treatment areas.
  • Support nursing staff with the delivery of quality patient care, maintaining established HMC policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training programs to develop skills and knowledge in patient care and support.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and support.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS-Heartsaver certification required, or must obtain a hospital-approved CPR or BLS program within three (3) weeks of date of hire.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
