Patient Escort Service Aide Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Escort Service Aide to join our team at Penn State Health. As a Patient Escort Service Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients and items to and from clinical units, diagnostic treatment, and testing areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support nursing staff in delivering quality patient care by maintaining established HMC policies and procedures.
  • Transport patients and items to and from clinical units, diagnostic treatment, and testing areas.
  • Assist with patient care activities, such as vital sign monitoring and patient positioning.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months of direct patient care experience required.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • BLS-Heartsaver certification required or must obtain a hospital-approved CPR or BLS program within 3 weeks of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
