Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Manager to join our team at Optum. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will play a critical role in leading our pharmacy operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacists and technicians to provide exceptional patient care and service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve pharmacy operations, including workflow optimization and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure optimal financial performance.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for growth and expansion, including new services and programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, providers, and payers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of Colorado.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy leadership role.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field.
  • Experience in a managed care or health insurance organization.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including workflow optimization and process improvement.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
