Position Overview
The Manager of Patient Services plays a vital role in supporting the specialty pharmacy and medication adherence model at Shields Health Solutions. This position involves overseeing a dedicated team of pharmacy liaisons situated in specialty clinics within healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Specialty Liaison team to ensure the highest quality patient experience in specialty clinics.
- Coach and develop team members while promoting the Shields culture at partner health system sites.
- Provide consistent performance coaching, feedback, and training to enhance team effectiveness.
- Facilitate effective communication between liaisons, Shields functional groups, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
- Achieve operational targets related to clinic service, growth, and patient satisfaction.
- Identify and implement improvement initiatives to drive growth and efficiency at health system partners.
- Build credible relationships with stakeholders, including clinic leadership and pharmacy teams.
- Ensure high partner satisfaction by proactively communicating the value of Shields' operations and addressing concerns.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to implement strategic growth initiatives and workflow changes.
- Provide performance updates to Shields leadership and ensure accountability within the Specialty Liaison team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare or pharmacy environment with direct patient interaction required.
- National Certification as a CPhT (or equivalent) and prior experience as a licensed pharmacy technician is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage performance metrics while maintaining clinical quality and patient-centered care.
Compensation
An employee in this position can expect a salary range between $80,000.00 and $90,000.00, plus potential bonuses as applicable. Actual salary will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.
