Role Summary
Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Business Operations, the Director of Field & Marketing Operations plays a pivotal role in advancing the North America Business Unit through the effective implementation of both tactical and strategic initiatives aimed at customer engagement. This position entails the development, execution, and maintenance of essential processes, in collaboration with the technology team to enhance system functionalities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that materials utilized by field teams receive the necessary approvals through the management of the LMR process.
  • Oversee the creation and administration of both printed and digital marketing assets, including order fulfillment, inventory oversight, and distribution logistics.
  • Manage the coordination and execution of speaker bureau initiatives, partnering with internal teams on content creation, budgeting, contracting, and dissemination of program outcomes.
  • Facilitate the logistical and production elements of both internal and external meetings in conjunction with North America Leadership and training teams.
  • Coordinate the North America Business Unit's participation in national and regional conferences, including planning, registration, and execution.
  • Ensure alignment of communications between the home office and field teams.
  • Oversee vendor and consultant management as required, including the generation of purchase orders and contract execution.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to a team of direct reports.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, with a focus on the pharmaceutical sector.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate increasing responsibilities in commercialization roles.
  • Strong aptitude for linking strategic objectives to tactical execution, with meticulous attention to detail in process mapping.
  • Ability to distill and convey actionable insights to internal partners through effective oral and written communication.
  • Commitment to adhering to Compliance, Privacy, and Legal protocols in program development and maintenance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, fostering relationships with a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% for business meetings and conferences.

This position is based out of our corporate office. Rhythm Pharmaceuticals operates under a hybrid work model, and candidates must be prepared to work in the office as required by departmental and business needs.
