Job Description

As a Senior Space Software Engineer at Sierra Space Corporation, you will play a crucial role in the development of flight software for satellite systems. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining embedded flight code using standard RTOS runtime components and development tools.

You will assess new spacecraft designs to determine detailed, low-level software requirements and work with systems and subsystem engineers to ensure proper integration of subsystem code into the functional design. Additionally, you will participate in the development and oversight of Software-in-the-loop (SITL) and Hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) systems.

  • 14+ years of experience in software development
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices
