Job Overview

At BAE Systems USA, we are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing discrete event simulations and participating in continuous improvement projects to support the production of components for surface ships and submarines for the United States Navy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing, configuring, debugging, testing, and analyzing simulations built in SIMIO for varied fabrication, assembly, and testing processes.
  • Completing time studies and working with engineering and operations teams to identify production bottlenecks.
  • Delivering strategic inputs for manufacturing plans, labor targets, productivity improvements, operations strategy, and manufacturing readiness evaluations.
  • Conducting What-If Scenarios to evaluate staffing, capacity, and schedule requirements.
  • Working with other Industrial Engineers to link simulations between sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related discipline.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of Discrete Event Simulation.
