Job Description

At Employment Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Systems Developer to join our dynamic manufacturing company in Louisville, CO.

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an Electronics and Controls Engineer to design and develop next-generation control systems for new machines and retrofitting existing ones. As an essential member of our cross-functional team, you will work closely with software, hardware, and production teams to ensure smooth integration of control systems throughout the design and implementation phases.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and integrate control systems for new machines and existing equipment, focusing on PLCs, industrial PCs, and embedded systems.
  • Develop high-performance control software using modern programming languages like RUST, ensuring integration with advanced communication protocols.
  • Contribute to PCB design (using tools like Altium) and embedded hardware development, including microcontroller programming.
  • Create intuitive GUIs for machine operation, offering real-time data feedback and control interfaces.
  • Lead the integration of intermediary programs for seamless communication between control devices (PLCs, IPCs, motion controllers, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot control system issues in collaboration with software and hardware teams to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Integrate sensors and motion control systems into existing setups for enhanced machine safety and performance.
  • Design and program microcontroller-based embedded systems for machine control applications, ensuring integration with broader control architecture.
  • Develop embedded software for real-time control, leveraging hardware design and programming expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in control system development, embedded hardware design, and programming.
  • Proficiency in RUST or similar modern programming languages, with experience in PLC systems and IPCs.
  • Expertise in PCB design (Altium or similar), embedded hardware design, and microcontroller programming.
  • Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profinet) and system integration.
  • Ability to thrive in a manufacturing environment, with willingness to travel up to 10% and lift up to 50 lbs.
