About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our team at Sierra Space Corporation. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining flight software for satellite systems.

You will work closely with our systems and subsystem engineers to ensure proper integration of subsystem code into the functional design and compliance with engineering performance specifications. Additionally, you will implement functional spacecraft capabilities in areas such as command, communication, data management, and fault protection.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge software products that cover a wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems to orbital and space exploration systems. About You:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline
  • Advanced capabilities using Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Active Top Secret US Government security clearance with SCI eligibility

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
