Position Overview:
The Overnight Support Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the clients and the facility during late-night and overnight hours. This position includes responsibilities for weekend shifts, overnight duties on holidays, and other assignments as required. The Overnight Support Specialist reports directly to the Housing Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular bed checks throughout the night, ensuring that clients are present in the facility.
  • Provide wake-up notifications for clients with scheduled appointments.
  • Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks, including filing, copying, organizing daily paperwork, and some data entry as directed.
  • Complete inventory checks for supplies.
  • Address client issues that arise during the night, including crisis situations.
  • Facilitate a smooth handover of nightly activities and incidents to the morning staff, and assist in the preliminary setup for clients' breakfast.
  • May be assigned additional responsibilities as needed.

Essential Skills:
Must be capable of remaining alert during late-night and overnight hours. Reliability, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions are essential. Strong crisis intervention skills and proficient English communication abilities are required.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is necessary. A minimum of one year of experience in social services is preferred. Veteran status is a plus but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits:
Comprehensive benefits are available for full-time staff, with retirement benefits for all eligible full-time and part-time employees. The starting pay ranges from $16.00 to $17.10 per hour, based on experience and regional placement, with eligibility for annual cost-of-living adjustments depending on funding availability.
