Reactor Project Engineer

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Reactor Project Engineer to join our team in the Reactor Project Engineering department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule, with every Friday off, and is located in the Materials and Fuels Complex.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a talented project engineer to lead and manage projects related to nuclear reactors. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, nuclear engineering, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities- Plan, document, and execute projects related to nuclear reactors.
- Integrate and communicate with customers, team members, and managers of related projects.
- Determine appropriate products or services with clients or customers to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Use project management techniques to assure technical, schedule, and budget baselines are controlled throughout each phase of a project.
- Manage all projects following all relevant procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor project activities and resources to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with procurement and interface with the customer regarding General and Special Conditions.
- Make improvements or take corrective action when problems arise.
- Identify project documentation requirements or procedures.
- Manage projects to ensure they are completed within budget and all work is performed.
- Review inter-organizational agreements and subcontract packages for completeness and conformity to project requirements.
- Perform project closeout activities, including final cost report and project records closeout.
- Develop teams to successfully complete projects.
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, or Master's degree and 2 years of experience, or PhD and 2 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience, or Master's degree and 6 years of experience, or PhD and 4 years of experience.
- Relevant experience functioning as a project lead, project manager, or lead role determined by level.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'Q' clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
