Position Overview
The Cashier plays a vital role in providing exceptional service to customers as they enter and exit the retail environment. The primary responsibility of the Cashier is to ensure a positive shopping experience through outstanding customer interaction. Availability for varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, is essential.

Reporting Structure
A. The Cashier will report directly to the Store Manager.
B. This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
A. Welcome customers upon entry and assist with inquiries.
B. Manage incoming phone calls with professionalism.
C. Process customer transactions accurately using the cash register system.
D. Ensure precise cash handling practices.
E. Assist in pricing merchandise as directed by management.
F. Help restock shelves as needed.
G. Facilitate customer returns effectively.

Additional Duties
A. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
A. Strong customer service skills are essential.
B. Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds regularly.
C. Capability to stand for extended periods.
D. Flexibility to bend and twist frequently.

Education and Experience
A. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Work Environment
A. The role is situated within a retail setting.
B. Exposure to varying temperatures may occur.
C. The work schedule may be irregular.
