About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will assist the Structural Superintendent in executing day-to-day operations within the structural department, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget of assigned work.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  1. Execute daily tasks as directed by the Structural Superintendent
  2. Responsible for safety, quality, schedule, and budget of all assigned work
  3. Establish a safe working environment and enforce established safety policies
  4. Estimate labor costs and manpower needs for projects
  5. Provide project managers with accurate estimates for bid proposals
  6. Prepare reports for review
  7. Communicate with internal and external customers, contractors, and subcontractors
  8. Lead and develop Foreman, Lead-man, and production team members
  9. Assist in planning, managing, and execution of welding projects and repairs

Requirements:

">
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in shipyard heavy industry
  • Extensive knowledge of ship repair processes
  • Knowledge of managing Federal Contracts
  • Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Interpersonal skills, good attitude, and exceptional work ethic

Education and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required
  • SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW experience is required
  • AWS certification, ABS/NAVSEA certifications is preferred

Benefits and Salary:

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include opportunities for professional growth and development, competitive compensation package, and excellent work-life balance.
