Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Motorcycle Transport Specialist to join our team at Ted Britt Auto Group. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of motorcycles throughout our dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload and uncrate new motorcycles safely
- Wash and/or detail motorcycles prior to customer pick-up
- Assist service technicians in the movement of motorcycles to and from shop areas
- Assist customers with loading/unloading of motorcycles
- Maintain adequate supply of materials and supplies
- Periodically check stored motorcycle battery charge levels
- Maintain clean motorcycles on showroom floor
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Ability to transport motorcycles as needed
Requirements:
- High school graduate preferred
- Valid drivers license with motorcycle endorsement
- Prior detailing experience helpful, but not required
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely
- Ability to be trained to use motorcycle lift equipment
- Ability to operate a forklift a plus
- Forklift experience a plus or ability to be trained
- Load and unload motorcycles from trucks
- Perform all duties while following accepted safety practices
Work Environment:
- Employee will handle various cleaners and chemicals during motorcycle washing/detailing
- Work area is enclosed but subject to varying temperatures
- Exposure to gasoline, oil and exhaust fumes
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to move motorcycles weighing up to 700lbs
- Must be able to stoop, bend, lift and stretch
- Will be required to work outdoors during various weather conditions
