Job Summary

Johnson & Wales University is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to operate a large capacity bus for the transportation of students and other passengers. The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a bus according to designated routes, schedules, and assignments
Perform pre-trip bus inspections and track passenger counts
Report malfunctions and perform basic interior and exterior bus cleaning
Assist with general maintenance duties during term breaks
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Experience in commercial driving or other related experience
Current/valid class A or B commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement
Current/valid medical certification
Ability to communicate, read, and write proficiently in English
Excellent customer service skills

Work Environment

The work environment for this position will involve contact with large motor vehicles, occasional exposure to bodily fluids, and moderate exposure to elements such as weather, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and loud noise. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a safe and clean work area.
