About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consumer Servicing Specialist I to join our team at Gesa Credit Union. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, assisting with inquiries, requests, and problems in a friendly, respectful, courteous, and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process and approve loan extensions in a timely manner.
  2. Coordinate the release of perfected documents on paid-in-full loans within the assigned timeframe.
  3. Follow up on outstanding titles to ensure perfection of lien in a timely manner, according to federal and state laws.
  4. Quote, prepare, and process real estate loan pay-offs.
  5. Process all vital paperwork on total loss claims for titled collateral.
  6. Process debt protection claims, including life, disability, and involuntary unemployment, in accordance with guidelines.
  7. Respond to member credit disputes and make necessary corrections.
  8. Review and process insurance claims, payments, forced placement issues, and refunds in a timely manner.
  9. Review and process departmental reports as assigned by the supervisor.
  10. Participate in assisting the processing of the annual Holiday Skip Payment Program.
  11. Support team member requests for assistance courteously, respectfully, and professionally.
  12. Understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions applicable to job responsibilities and demonstrate compliance with all state and federal banking regulations, including the BSA.
  13. Display leadership values such as mutual respect, trust, and dignity, and act in the best interest of the Credit Union, leading by example with solid ethics and integrity.

Qualifications
  1. You must have a minimum of a high school diploma.
  2. You have one to five years of business work experience or secondary education or certification.
  3. You are proficient in operating standard office equipment, computer programs, lending programs, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Velocity, Akcelerant, and other related programs.
  4. You may be required to travel for credit union training and/or to fulfill duties.
  5. You display and maintain courtesy, tact, and diplomacy with current and potential members, peers, and staff.
