Forensic Evidence Technician

Position Overview: This role encompasses both technical and administrative responsibilities related to the collection, documentation, and preservation of evidence at crime scenes.

Work Schedule: Candidates should be prepared for shifts that may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications: A high school diploma or a G.E.D. equivalency diploma issued by a recognized state education authority is required.

Licensing: A valid driver's license is mandatory.

Experience Requirements: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Permanent status as a Crime Scene Associate with relevant experience.
  • Two years of full-time experience in crime scene investigation.

Verification Process: Prior to employment, the hiring agency will verify the educational credentials and driver's license of the applicant.

Probationary Period: This position requires a one-year probationary period.

Evaluation: Candidates will be assessed based on a rating of training and experience, with all relevant prior experience considered, specifically within the last ten years.

Background Investigation: A thorough background check will be conducted, including a voice stress test and a urinalysis for illegal substances.
