At the Digital Library Federation, we're seeking a highly skilled Acquisitions Program Manager to lead our U.S. Special Acquisitions Section in the U.S./Anglo Division of the Directorate of Acquisitions and Bibliographic Access (ABA).

**About the Position**
This role is responsible for managing the work of the section, including acquisitions and cataloging functions, overseeing the team's performance, and performing administrative and human resource management tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**
• Supervise a group of employees performing work up to the GS-13 level
• Provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the unit's goals
• Determine the human resources needed to accomplish the unit's objectives and plan, schedule, coordinate, and carry out activities related to the library acquisitions program
• Establish guidelines and performance expectations for staff members and observe their performance
• Develop work improvement plans and recommend personnel actions as necessary
• Provide advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters
• Effect disciplinary measures as appropriate to the authority delegated in this area
• Review and approve or disapprove leave requests
• Responsible for furthering the goals of equal employment opportunity (EEO)

**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
1. Ability to lead a diverse workforce
2. Ability to analyze, plan, develop, and execute library programs and projects
3. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and techniques of library science
4. Ability to provide consultation or liaison duties
5. Knowledge of integrated library systems, library applications, and other information technologies
6. Ability to provide training
7. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally

**Compensation**
The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $83,000 - $123,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area.
