About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Arizon Companies. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities and securing orders with satisfactory margins from assigned accounts and markets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage individual requests for quotes to provide optimal solutions for customers while meeting margin goals.
  • Educate and work with key accounts to develop relationships on behalf of Arizon Companies, resulting in immediate and future sales through travel and in-office activities.
  • Record pertinent information regarding accounts and projects into our CRM system.
  • S secure a stronger company position within assigned market territories for immediate and future sales.
  • Execute clean project handoff to post-sale teams for successfully closed orders.
  • Monitor projects after award through submittal and production processes until warranty expiration.
  • Maintain customer relationships beyond warranty periods if specific projects have been identified as potential demo sites.
  • Present and develop end-users, engineering firms, mechanical contractors, general contractors, and other relevant groups in assigned markets.
  • Execute assigned projects or divisional goals.
  • Take on additional project responsibilities depending on company needs.

Supporting Roles:

  • Perform supporting roles for all Sales Representatives and Johnson Sales Engineering Manager.
  • Work as a team to drive opportunity and booking goal in assigned markets.
  • Read and interpret technical specifications (bid documents) and plans (blueprints) to compile information for accurate estimates.
  • Apply common HVAC unit components according to manufacturer's recommendations, design standards, and industry standards.
  • Understand project terms and conditions impacting pricing.
  • Develop 'Project Proposal Specification' or scope of work using bid documents and component selections.
  • Travel to close projects and deliver presentations.
  • Achieve quote and order goals by performing sales-related functions such as market research, attending trade shows, and presenting to key accounts.
  • Maintain positive productive relationships with Factory Representatives, Engineers, Vendors, and other contacts.
  • Update and maintain database for bookings projections report and shipping projections report accuracy.
  • Individual quote files should be kept up-to-date via follow-up calls and reporting.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks based on customer-defined deadlines.
  • Maintain CRM for quote activity, revision levels, close dates, partners, etc.
  • Report expired opportunities within market assignments to Sales Engineering Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (minimum)
  • 5 years' prior experience in HVAC design or manufacturing industry
  • Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge of HVAC terminology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Focused, ambitious, and goal-oriented
  • Ability to travel as needed both in the US and internationally
  • Great organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks on-time

This is a remote role following a training period, with some travel required to our office located in St. Louis, MO.
