Risk Manager - Clinical

Job Summary:

As a Clinical Risk Manager at Texas Health Resources, you will play a critical role in supporting the hospital's risk management program, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a just and transparent work environment. You will serve as a risk management representative for committees within the Continuous Quality/Patient Safety and Risk Management programs, providing education and training to employees on risk management, patient safety, and high reliability. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role that requires adaptability and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the reliability learning tool to identify and address patient safety/risk exposures affecting the quality of care and outcomes.

• Facilitate the Risk Management Program, including identification, analysis, planning, and implementation, focusing on events that resulted or could have resulted in adverse risk or a compromise to patient or environmental safety.

• Collaborate with leaders throughout the hospital to grow and sustain a culture of transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field is required.

• Three years of clinical experience is required, with acute care hospital experience and a risk management background being strongly preferred.

• Three years of risk management, quality management, legal, or patient safety experience is preferred.

• Registered Nurse (TX RN) or another appropriate clinical licensure is required.

• CPHRM - Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management is preferred upon hire.
