Revenue Cycle Cashier

The Revenue Cycle Cashier is a critical role in our organization, responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all payments. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily cash posting and reconciliation of electronic and manual payments.
- Retrieve payer remits from various websites and post them accurately.
- Analyze paper records to ensure accurate posting of payments and adjustments.
- Investigate unidentified payments to ensure they are applied to the correct accounts.
- Run and analyze balancing reports to ensure accurate posting.
- Scan all cash posting documents into the electronic document system.
- Provide suggestions for process improvement as needed.
- Understand and adhere to federal and state regulations related to patient information protection.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in billing, collections, or payment processing.
- Strong clerical or banking experience considered.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to pass basic computer skills test and system-level training.
- Knowledge of transaction posting and daily reconciliation processes.
- Ability to analyze trends and make recommendations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and transaction accuracy required.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
