Veterinary Technician for Critical Care Services

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking dedicated Critical Care Technicians to join our esteemed Critical Care Service team. Our facility is a 24/7 advanced veterinary hospital that prioritizes high-quality patient care and professional growth.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Critical Care Technician, you will play a vital role in the triage and stabilization of patients requiring hospitalization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and managing incoming cases, including phone consultations and walk-ins.
- Providing appropriate patient restraint during examinations and procedures.
- Administering treatments and understanding various medical conditions.
- Collecting and processing laboratory specimens, performing automated and manual tests.
- Delivering comprehensive nursing care, including monitoring vital signs and administering nutrition.
- Executing venipuncture and catheter placements, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Carrying out emergency procedures, including airway management and oxygen therapy.
- Preparing patients for surgical procedures and assisting in their recovery.
- Facilitating patient admissions and discharges, along with effective client communication.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the ICU and isolation areas.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
- A valid certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).
- A minimum of one year of experience in a veterinary setting with increasing responsibilities.
- Preferred specialization in Emergency and Critical Care (VTS in ECC).
- Strong skills in animal handling and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in performing veterinary medical procedures and effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- The capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $40.00, commensurate with experience.
