We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency Room/ICU team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care and support to our veterinary team, including triage, restraint, and monitoring of patients.
- Assist in the care and treatment of critically ill patients, including administering medications, fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Perform venipuncture, peripheral/central/arterial catheter placement and maintenance, and other medical procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with our veterinary team to develop and implement patient care plans, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
- 2+ years of experience in emergency or critical care veterinary medicine.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our veterinary team and patients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and support.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
