Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Technician Manager to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our technical staff, ensuring the highest standards of medical care, and driving the growth and development of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • People Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of veterinary technicians.
    • Oversee the completion of employee orientation, training, and annual performance appraisals.
    • Coach and mentor employees to identify continuous learning and skill-building needs.
    • Assist with the implementation of performance-based incentive and recognition programs.
  • Hospital Operations
    • Oversee the technical staffing and scheduling of our Emergency, Critical Care, Nephrology, Blood Bank, and Lab departments.
    • Participate in management on-call rotation and provide leadership during emergency situations.
    • Partner with department leads to strategically plan and schedule support staff, ensuring optimal labor utilization and revenue growth.
    • Oversee all aspects of technical staff payroll processes and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Qualifications and Requirements
    • Experience as a licensed veterinary technician in a tertiary veterinary setting is strongly preferred.
    • Supervisory experience in a veterinary setting is highly desirable.
    • Strong administrative and managerial skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical staff, veterinarians, and other stakeholders.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
