Strategic Partnership Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Partnership Director to lead our External Relations, Partnerships and Resource Mobilization efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic partnerships with global stakeholders, including governments, private sector companies, foundations, and civil society organizations.
About the RoleThe Strategic Partnership Director will work closely with our leadership team to identify opportunities for collaboration and resource mobilization, and develop strategies to engage with key partners. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing and new partners, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure effective implementation of partnership activities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic partnerships with global stakeholders, including governments, private sector companies, foundations, and civil society organizations
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and resource mobilization, and develop strategies to engage with key partners
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and new partners
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure effective implementation of partnership activities
- Provide expert technical advice and guidance to expand PAHO's donors and contributors in voluntary contributions and routinely evaluate and update PAHO's success in this endeavor
- Lead PAHO's proposal development work process to ensure compliance with internal review and clearance procedures
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in international relations, public health, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor's degree in health or social science, and a master's degree in public health, public administration, economics, international relations, or in any other field related to the functions of the post from a recognized university
- Fifteen years of combined national and international experience in leading resource mobilization efforts for organizations; leading and managing external relations and partnerships, ideally in the field of global public health, with broad range of stakeholders including civil society, private sector, donor institutions, United Nations organizations, and foundations at national and international levels
- Demonstrated expertise in diplomacy and negotiations, with a proven track record of successful partnerships and resource mobilization efforts
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including annual net salary and post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in Washington, D.C. The estimated salary for this position is $106,023 per year. In addition, we offer 30 days annual leave, dependency benefits, pension plan and health insurance scheme. Benefits for internationally recruited staff may include home leave, travel and removal expenses on appointment and separation, education grant for dependent children, assignment grant and rental subsidy.
