Job Title: Behavioral Health Operations Manager

WellSpan Health is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality of clinical care provided to patients in our assigned Emergency Departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Access and Crisis Management to develop and implement goals, objectives, and policies and procedures for behavioral health services within the Emergency Departments.
  • Support the department in continuous assessment and improvement in operational, clinical, and financial performance.
  • Consult with operational and clinical leaders regarding matters related to departmental functions and/or services.
  • Lead and manage special projects and initiatives associated with behavioral health services.
  • Supervise and organize the shift's workflow and give direction to Supervisors and BHC's as necessary to facilitate and prioritize workflow.
  • Provide satisfactory customer services to patients, families, and personnel by assessing complaints or grievances on assigned shift and appropriately documenting for proper follow up.
  • Supervise assigned staff providing verbal and written feedback regarding job performance issues to assist in ongoing personal and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Human Services field.
  • Licensure in Pennsylvania in one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
  • Excellent human relations, customer service, and oral/written communication skills.
  • Visual ability to review and prepare written information and to observe patient behavior.
  • Ability to provide counsel and a moderate level of physical prowess.
