DW Distribution, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a Door Market Manager to join our VALUES-based organization. The Door Market Manager develops new business and markets our pre-hung door units to meet desired sales, gross margin, and profit goals.

Essential Functions

Sales

  • Proactively leads sales to achieve performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.
  • Establish a business plan to meet objectives, goals, and quotas for assigned customers.
  • Accurately enters orders and makes necessary logistical arrangements.
  • Implements the selling process (Buyer-Based Selling) with account planning and sales calls.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Travels in the field as needed to build greater relationships with customers.
  • Identifies growth opportunities within existing accounts and target accounts.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Able to train, develop, and guide sales teams to work with you in building the territory.
  • Works with vendors to ensure relationships are strong and ensures pricing and availability are in alignment with goals.
  • Makes sure all tallies are moving to ensure items don't end up on the slow-moving report.

Marketing/Training

  • Supports and executes DW's Sales and Marketing activities, including DW Shows, DW Dividend Program, and Customer Promotions & Programs.
  • Keeps current on all product knowledge.

Communication

  • Proper communication internally and externally, including prompt reviews and replies to email, voice mail, and phone calls.
  • Relays all competitive information to company management and sales teams.
  • Meets all required deadlines and proper follow-up and follow-through on requests assigned.

General and Administrative

  • Supports the corporate vision, mission, and values.
  • Communicates effectively with various management and operational departments, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that sales and customer objectives are met.
  • Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules, and regulations.
  • Compiles and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manuals.
  • Participates as a team player by supporting operations as needed.
  • All other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

Formal Education and Certification

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution.
  • Five years of experience in business-to-business sales may be substituted for educational requirement.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in business-to-business sales.
  • Two years' experience in the building supply and millwork industry and markets.
  • Computer skills and proficiency.
