About the Role

The City of Topeka is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic. This is an entry-level position that offers excellent training and opportunities for advancement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment and facilities.
  • Assist in groundskeeping, housekeeping, and cleaning of facilities as required.
  • Support operational needs by working overtime, inclement weather events, and participating in after-hours call rotation.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid Kansas driver's license and city insurable driving record are also required.
  • Experience in general maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment is preferred but not required.
