Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Case Manager to join our team at Hillsborough County. As a key member of our social services team, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive plans to promote self-sufficiency among eligible clients.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze socio-economic information and develop case management plans to address client needs and eligibility.
  • Supervise case managers, interns, or volunteers from local community organizations.
  • Counsel individuals, families, and groups, and perform crisis intervention as needed.
  • Collaborate with community service agencies to provide information and services necessary to meet various socioeconomic needs.
  • Conduct outreach and service coordination activities, and write comprehensive client social histories and case management plans.
  • Attend community-based meetings with stakeholders and providers, and act as agency representative.
  • May conduct surveys, research references, and develop programs to enhance client abilities and promote self-sufficiency.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year degree-granting college or university in social work, sociology, psychology, nursing, gerontology, or a related social services field.
  • Two years of social services program experience interviewing clients, assessing client needs and eligibility, or counseling clients.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, County, and community social service programs, including eligibility requirements, application procedures, and relevant program policies.
  • Ability to develop work procedures and standards, and to plan, organize, evaluate, and supervise the work of others.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, with proper body mechanics required.
  • Must be able to observe, listen, and communicate effectively.
  • Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, support agencies, and outside agencies.
