Position Summary

The Program Director plays a pivotal role in leading a team of skilled Direct Support Professionals to deliver residential services and essential support to individuals with disabilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the overall operations, including medical, financial, and maintenance management of residential settings.
  • Ensuring the effective implementation of individual support and behavioral plans, adhering to company policies and continuously assessing individual needs.
  • Managing applications and receipt of unearned income sources (e.g., Medicaid, Social Security) and coordinating access to relevant services for individuals.
  • Facilitating communication among interdisciplinary team members, including case managers, service representatives, family members, and guardians.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of individuals' medical conditions, overseeing medication management, appointments, and documentation.
  • Conducting interviews, hiring, evaluating, and ensuring the ongoing training and development of high-quality staff for direct support roles.
  • Managing schedules across multiple locations and submitting payroll information promptly.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in developing and executing individual programs, budget management, and supervisory roles. Strong decision-making, time management, and communication skills are essential, along with a responsible and adaptable approach.

A Bachelor's degree in a Human Services-related field is preferred, alongside two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Candidates lacking a bachelor's degree may still be considered if they have a minimum of five years of relevant supervisory and management experience in the Human Services sector.

Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), is required.
