Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team at Henry Ford Behavioral Health. The successful candidate will provide support to the Human Resources Director/Manager, focusing on employee information, personnel files, record keeping, correspondence, and new hire paperwork. Additionally, they will assist in the coordination and implementation of various HR initiatives and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer human resources functions, including staffing, payroll, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Select and interview candidates for positions within the facility, ensuring appropriate salary levels and budgets.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new employees, including data entry and communication with respective departments.
  • Coordinate new hire and benefits orientation, employee training programs, hiring support, job analysis, compensation analysis, and employee relations.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to managers, supervisors, and employees to resolve human resources-related issues.
  • Work with managers to prevent and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Provide information on employee programs and policies.
  • Enter and maintain employee information in UltiPro (HRIS).
  • Maintain personnel files, including training records and new hire paperwork.
  • Advise managers on performance management, workforce planning, compensation issues, recruitment, and onboarding activities.
  • Complete special projects by clarifying objectives, setting timetables, conducting research, and developing information.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in a progressively responsible HR role.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources is preferred.
