About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Pole Star Defense. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using Java and Spring frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize infrastructure needs.
  • Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like FluxCD.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for our 24/7/365 systems.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and building cloud infrastructure using Java and Spring frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of IAC automation using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with AWS cloud and messaging systems like JMS and Kafka.
  • Basic understanding of RESTful web services and scalable application design.
  • Skilled at creating database schemas and working with code versioning tools like Git and Maven.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools like FluxCD.
  • Experience working in a Public Sector customer environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with U.S. Public Sector customers - DHS or DOD.
  • DoD Security Clearance.
