Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Sentara Healthcare. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

About the Role:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient-centered care, assessing patient needs, and developing individualized care plans. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN preferred)
  • A valid nursing license in the state of Virginia or North Carolina
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in a cardiac care setting (preferably in a telemetry or stepdown unit)
