Job Title: Polysomnography Technologist RRT

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnography Technologist RRT to join our team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a Polysomnography Technologist RRT, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive evaluation of sleep disorders in our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct polysomnography, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to evaluate sleep disorders
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment for testing, ensuring proper signals and making adjustments as needed
  • Document routine observations, changes in procedure, and significant events to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results
  • Establish professional practice standards and process improvement projects
  • Participate in scientific inquiry and incorporate research into clinical practice
  • Act as a consultant to enhance professional development and maintain a blame-free environment
  • Teach others the appropriate utilization of financial resources and make recommendations
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree Required
  • At least one (1) year experience Required
  • At least two (2) years Respiratory Therapy experience Preferred
  • Respiratory Therapist (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - issued through an organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (e.g. American Heart Association or Red Cross) - upon hire - Required
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists - within 24 months - Preferred
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist Sleep Disorder Specialist (RRT-SDS) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) - within 24 months - Preferred
  • Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (EEG) - American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists - within 24 months - Preferred
