Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Account Management - Fresh to lead our Commercial Sales team and develop a highly effective Account Management and Retail Sales Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the day-to-day relationship with Kroger, forging strong relationships between KeHE Distributors and Kroger's Leadership, Account Management, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy that aligns with the company's objectives, mission, vision, and values.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Commercial Sales team, including Account Management and Retail Sales Services.
  • Forge strong relationships with Kroger's Leadership, Account Management, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales, financial growth, and customer profitability.
  • Expand our share of available market volume through vertical growth opportunities.
  • Deliver results through execution, working cross-functionally internally and externally.
Requirements
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in business or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the food industry, including supply chain or equivalent experience.
  • Natural, specialty, and/or fresh product knowledge with ability to recognize brands and trends.
  • Solid track record of sales success, including strategy, planning, and follow-up.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex customer organizations.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including listening and asking impactful questions.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively recognize and pursue business opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with people at all organizational levels.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% by air and stay overnight for business meetings and trade shows.
  • Advanced level computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented, self-directed, and excellent time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-focused.
  • Able to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong process improvement skills.
