Your Role in Action
  • Cultivating a Supportive Atmosphere: Foster a warm, inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to learn and grow.
  • Direct Support: Provide hands-on assistance with personal care tasks and expertly manage behavioral crises, ensuring a safe and supportive classroom experience.
  • Positive Communication: Harness the power of positive behavior support strategies to cultivate essential social skills, enhance communication abilities, and promote independence among students.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Thoroughly document student progress and maintain open lines of communication with parents, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team.
Your Skills and Talents
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older to be eligible for employment.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Driver's License: Valid and current U.S. driver's license required.
  • Availability: Monday through Friday 7am-3:30pm, with a year-round program including summers.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards individuals with diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Qualities: Reliability, compassion, and patience, coupled with a genuine passion for making a positive impact in people's lives.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adjust to varying needs, preferences, and communication styles of those we support.
